The Vanishing Poet who chased the purple and found the Green
The Never-ending Glen, Kelburn Garden Party | 2024 | written, crafted & photographed by Romi Sarfaty & Dale Williamson
An original embodied folktale collection. By imagining/ discovering new stories in the site we aimed to celebrate its beauty and power and draw people in, to explore and experience the landscape. We embodied between 1-3 characters from each tale, and documenting their presence in the Glen. The tales and the photographs were exhibited in the Glen as part of the Kelburn Garden Party, All the costumes are, frames and printings are made from recycle, natural or biodegradable materials.
A Broken heart trapped in a stone cairn.
Beating and shouting for a glimmer of hope.
It seeks out sympathetic hands,
it seeks out hugs and kisses,
it seeks to break from its shell.
Life can make harsh armour grow.
But we all seek for our delicate voice to be heard
Lie your head and soak your tears,
a mossy pillow for your fears.
Life can feel like such an endless race,
rest on the moss, embrace the earthy pace.
